Play. Explore. Grow.

A joyful, play-based preschool in Nolensville, TN designed to prepare children for kindergarten and beyond.

Mill Creek Children’s Academy is a play-based preschool located in Nolensville, Tennessee, serving 3-year-olds and Pre-K (4/5 year olds).

We believe children learn best through hands-on exploration, movement, creativity, and guided play. Our small class size and nurturing environment allow each child to feel known, supported, and encouraged every day.

At Mill Creek, children don’t just sit and listen — they move, discover, build, create, and grow.

Play-Based Learning

At Mill Creek Children’s Academy, children learn through hands-on exploration and guided play. Our HighScope curriculum encourages curiosity, creativity, and confidence while helping children build strong foundations for future learning.

Small Class Sizes

With approximately 20 students and three experienced educators, our classrooms remain intentionally small. This allows us to give each child individual attention while building strong relationships with both students and families.

Room to Move & Explore

Located inside Summit Sports Center, our students enjoy opportunities for movement and physical activity beyond the classroom. From PE with LPG Sports Academy to open gym play, children develop confidence and coordination while having fun.

A man with long hair and a beard, wearing a cap and dark clothing, is kneeling and talking to a group of young children sitting on a purple mat. The children are listening attentively. There is a boy standing with a paper in his hand, and the background has gym equipment and mats.

A young girl with braids and a yellow shirt with white flowers sits and plays with a stuffed animal, while an older girl with long dark hair and a gray shirt shows her a photo album with pictures of the girl holding a ball and a girl in a pink sweater, smiling at each other inside a gym.

Movement Matters

Unlike many preschools, our students have access to the gym at Summit Sports Center, giving them space to move, build gross motor skills, and develop confidence.

Children are not confined to small classrooms — they have room to grow.

Learn through Play

Our classrooms are center-based and designed to engage the whole child — socially, emotionally, physically, and academically.

Children rotate through:

  • Reading Center

  • Art Studio

  • Dramatic Play

  • Blocks & Building

  • Writing Center

  • Science & Math Exploration

  • Listening Center

  • Sensory Play

With intentional teacher guidance, children learn at their own pace while building independence and confidence.
