Our Pre-K Program
Our Pre-K program is designed for children ages 4–5 and meets Monday through Thursday. Through our play-based approach, students build the academic, social, and emotional skills they'll need for a confident transition to kindergarten.
Our program blends the HighScope Curriculum with Handwriting Without Tears and the Social Thinking curriculum to build strong academic and social foundations. Children also enjoy hands-on science enrichment, music, and physical education as part of their weekly experience.
Early Literacy Skills
Children begin building strong reading foundations through letter recognition, phonemic awareness, and engaging language activities that support early literacy development.
Early Math Foundations
Through hands-on activities and guided exploration, students develop early math skills such as counting, pattern recognition, and problem-solving.
Social Confidence & Collaboration
Students practice teamwork, problem-solving, and leadership while learning to communicate, cooperate, and build meaningful friendships.
With hands-on centers and intentional instruction, children leave Mill Creek prepared and confident.
Writing Readiness
Using tools like Handwriting Without Tears and fine motor activities, children strengthen the skills needed for writing and early academic success.
